Surrounded by overgrown trees, breathtaking views, and zero farming experience, we discovered that farm life isn’t just hard work—it’s adventure, community, and joy. Today, our once-forgotten land is thriving, and so are we.

I grew up in a world with little culture or curiosity—until the moment I saw Russ smile in a college dorm lobby. I fell in love instantly, and that love opened a world of art, ideas, and possibilities I never knew existed. Sometimes love at first sight doesn’t just change your life—it creates it.

What began as a hopeful day of house hunting in Old San Juan ended with an ambulance ride, a holiday hospital, and a life suddenly put on pause. Russ’s fall revealed not just the fragility of plans, but the quiet kindness of strangers—neighbors, doctors, and friends who stepped in when we needed them most. Even years later, that day still lingers.

After moving to our oceanfront apartment in Condado, we searched for friends through clubs, organizations, and volunteer work—but found ourselves on the outside of long-established social circles. It wasn’t until we stopped trying to join and simply began exploring Old San Juan and its art that genuine friendships finally found us.
